Mac Walker

Founder & Principal
Mac Walker

Mac is a serial entrepreneur. After graduating from UC Davis in 2011, he found a rock & roll band on MySpace that was looking for a manager. He took them from a basement practice space in San Francisco’s Tenderloin to recording with Gordon Raphael—producer of The Strokes’ Is This It and Room on Fire—and touring with national acts. Ultimately the band was a swing and a miss.

During that run, Mac also produced live events at most of the notable small-capacity rooms in San Francisco, building relationships with venues, talent buyers, and touring agents. Along the way he started learning the supply and demand curves of live-event ticketing.

In 2015 he pivoted to the secondary markets, where he saw volatility, liquidity, and scale. Over the next decade he built Sky Strike from selling a few Coachella tickets into a $10M+ annual revenue business. Under his direction—and amid continual change in the space—the firm has kept transforming.
